Join Us NowHi, and thanks for stopping by. Over the past few months I’ve knocked on a lot of doors and had a lot of conversations at coffee shops, ball fields, and kitchen tables across District 31, and the same questions keep coming up. So I figured I’d put my honest answers in one place.
Whether you’re a small business owner trying to make payroll, a parent wondering what’s happening in your child’s classroom, or a neighbor who’s just tired of watching your insurance bill climb, I hope you’ll find something useful here. These are the issues I care about because they’re the ones affecting our families and our home right here in Brevard County.
And if there’s something on your mind that I haven’t covered, please reach out. I’d genuinely love to hear from you.
What is your top priority for small businesses in District 31?
As a small business owner, I understand firsthand the burdens government places on entrepreneurs. My priority is to cut burdensome regulations, lower taxes, and reduce government red tape so businesses can grow, create jobs, and strengthen our local economy. I believe a thriving free market, not government interference, drives prosperity in Brevard County.
Where do you stand on education and parents' rights?
Parents, not bureaucrats, should have the final say in their children’s education. During my eight years on the Satellite Beach City Council, I worked closely with Brevard Public Schools on real capital improvements, including a new rubberized track and basketball courts now open for public use, and I partnered with the late Congressman Bill Posey to secure funding for water filtration systems that protect students from PFAS and other contaminants. In District 31, I will fight for school choice, classroom transparency, and a high-quality education that prepares our students for the future.
How will you defend constitutional rights?
Freedom of speech, religion, and expression are fundamental to our way of life. As a councilwoman during Covid, I was the only initial “No” vote against mask mandates in Satellite Beach, and I fought to keep our beaches open and our businesses running. As your State Representative, I will stand against censorship, protect religious liberties, defend the Second Amendment right to bear arms, and oppose any attempt by government or corporations to silence conservative voices.
What is your approach to the size and role of government?
Government should work for the people, not the other way around. As a Councilwoman and Vice Mayor, I worked to lower the millage rate, increase reserves, and eliminate unnecessary regulation, always questioning whether new regulations were necessary, enforceable, and non-contradictory. I am a firm believer in property rights and will push for fiscal responsibility, an end to wasteful spending, and a government that remains limited, efficient, and transparent.
What will you do to protect water quality and the Indian River Lagoon?
When we are good stewards of the environment, everyone benefits. The Indian River Lagoon plays a pivotal role in our economy and quality of life. To continue restoring it, I believe it is imperative that we pass the Half-Cent Sales Tax renewal. I support responsible investments in stormwater infrastructure and resilience projects, septic-to-sewer conversion projects that reduce nutrient pollution, and new and emerging technologies that deliver these solutions more efficiently and with less burden on taxpayers.
How will you address Florida's insurance crisis?
Families in Brevard County are struggling with skyrocketing auto, home, and property insurance costs. I will work to bring real solutions that stabilize the market and attract more competition to help reduce rates. As a Trustee for the Preferred Governmental Insurance Trust Fund, I gained valuable knowledge that I look forward to bringing to the State Legislature to work with my colleagues to lower insurance costs.
